How to Become a Happier Person

Paige Baker

Your happiness can be affected in many different ways. Other people often have a large impact on our mood and emotions. However, the one with the most power over our mental state is ourselves!

In this blog, you'll be learning about ways to change your habits, routines, and mindset to help yourself become a happier person.

Stop Negatively Comparing Yourself to Others.

With so many social media platforms running these days, it becomes increasingly easier to get caught up in other people’s lives. We often find ourselves comparing our experiences to those of acquaintances and even complete strangers.

Sometimes it can be difficult to remember that everyone has different circumstances, and everyone views success differently. You might see someone on social media that seems to have it all, but in reality, it’s just a front they put up to seem like they are successful.

You must always remember to celebrate what you have accomplished, no matter how small and insignificant it may seem. This is one of the first steps to becoming a happier person.

Reflect on your feelings, and keep track of the good things you experience everyday.

Acknowledgeing your feelings and reflecting on the positive parts of your day, is a great way to de-stress and improve your mood. An easy way to record these experiences, is by journaling.

Thinking back on your day and how different events made you feel will help you better understand yourself. Also, by writing down the good things that happen to you throughout your day, you will begin to appreciate the small things in life that bring you joy.

In addition journaling is scientifically proven to reduce stress, reduce anxiety, and help with your overall mental health.
